Behind My
Desk…
If you’ve downloaded any ebooks or audiobooks
from WILBOR recently, you’ve probably noticed some changes! WILBOR has gotten a facelift! I’ve played around with it myself the past few
days, and it does seem a lot easier to navigate the site. I also really like the new OverDrive Read
feature. OverDrive Read provides instant
access to Ebooks without installing additional software or downloading any
files. All you need is a computer or
device with a modern web browser. The
only hitch? Not every title has the Overdrive Read feature. It can’t be too easy, now can it? Play around with it. And feel free to call us with questions.
April 14 -20 is National Library Week, and we
have several events planned. On Tuesday,
April 16 at 10:30 WWII Navy veteran, Clarence Pfundheller, a native of
Greenfield, IA, will share his experiences of being on the USS Maryland when
Japanese planes attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This promises to be a fascinating program and
I hope you’ll be able to join us!
The Friends of the Library will also be
holding their book sale during National Library Week. This spring’s sale will be held on Friday,
April 19 from 11:30-5:30 and Saturday, April 20 from 9:30-12:00. The Friend’s have collected a lot of books,
but be sure to come early for the best selection!
