Did You Know… the Atlantic Public Library hosted 300 people for the Dome Theater on April 9th?

Behind My Desk… This happens every year.  My first look at the calendar for library programs in the summer just blows me away!  Every year!!!!  I try    to include the events in my column and on the Library Online Calendar.  It’s amazing what Julie lines up.  Oh!  Before I forget, Julie is needing Legos or Duplos for one of her programs in July.  If you have some you would like to donate to us, please contact Julie.  I know she would appreciate it.

I bought a smart phone, and I still feel just as dumb as ever with the thing.  Oh!  Speaking of smart phones…there is now a way for you to contact the library catalog on the go!  Just type in atlantic.biblionix.com/mobile
That should get you to the catalog.  Now, why on earth would you care to call the library catalog is not my concern.  But, by golly, you can.   Actually, you’re not really calling the library.  It’s on the Internet.  Well, I suppose, though, you can call the library.  It’s 712-243-5466!

We have been trying to update our video (dvds) collection upstairs… well, for that matter, downstairs, too.  Slowly, we are deleting our VHS collection of videos, although we still have a good number.  We won’t be purchasing any more of those. In the last few months we have been ordering some seasons of former tv shows and some entertaining movies from a bygone era.  Stop by and see what’s in!  They can be checked out for a week, so it gives you a little time to view them.  We limit checkouts to 5 per family.  You can always bring those back early and check out 5 more!

School’s out for summer, folks!  Wow!  Where did that school year go???

Have a safe and nice Memorial holiday, and…Keep Thinking Libraries!
